Tees — measure your chest, then match:

Tape around the fullest part of your chest, level, arms down — don’t pull it tight. Hoodies run S–5XL and crewnecks run S–4XL, both on a roomier classic fit.

Find your size in two minutes

We carry tees S to 4XL, hoodies to 5XL and crewnecks to 4XL, and we publish the real numbers rather than a vague "runs true to size". Two ways to use this page — pick whichever is easier.

One thing we’ll say before you get attached to a colour: the blanks are not made in every colour in every size. Above 2XL the range narrows. The exact list is in Colour availability by size further down this page. We’d rather put that in front of you now than let you find it at checkout.

Method 1 — measure yourself (30 seconds)

Stand relaxed with your arms down. Run a soft tape around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms, keeping it level front to back. Don't pull it tight and don't hold your breath. Match that number to the Chest to fit chart below.

Method 2 — measure a shirt you already love (more accurate)

This is the one we'd recommend. Lay the shirt flat, front up, smoothed out — no wrinkles, no stretching.

• Width: measure straight across, one inch below the armhole seams. That's a half measurement, and it goes directly against the Width column in the flat-measurement charts.
• Length: from the highest point of the shoulder, where the shoulder seam meets the collar, straight down to the bottom hem.

Then find the row that matches. If you're between two, the larger one is almost always the right call.

Colour availability by size

Not every colour is manufactured in every size. This is Bella+Canvas's and Gildan's range, not a stocking decision on our end — it is the same constraint every print-to-order brand works inside. Here is exactly where it bites:

Tee colours differ from design to design, so the 3XL list above is the common case rather than a guarantee. If a size and colour combination isn't there, it can't be ordered — the blank doesn't exist.

We know that's the wrong way round. The people most often left out of a size range are the ones who then get the fewest choices. It isn't where we want to be, and if the colour you wanted isn't made in your size, email team@wearbrainwave.com and say so — knowing which combinations people actually ask for is what makes the case for changing print partners.

These are Bella+Canvas's own published bands. Yes, there's a one-inch gap between 34" and 38" — that gap is in their chart, and we've left it as printed rather than smoothing it over.

Width is half the shirt. Double it for the full chest measurement — so a Medium is 20" flat, which is 40" around.

How much room should it have?

Take the flat width, double it, and subtract your body chest. That difference is called ease, and it's what decides how a shirt feels:

• 2" – 4" — fitted, close to the body
• 4" – 8" — standard, how most people wear a tee
• 8" and up — relaxed or oversized

Useful thing to know: each size step adds 2" of flat width — four inches of room around you — but only 1" of length. So sizing up for a looser fit barely changes how long the shirt is.

Two honest caveats

Every garment varies a little. Gildan publishes a tolerance of plus or minus one inch on hoodies and crewnecks. Bella+Canvas doesn't publish a figure, but variance of up to about an inch and a half is normal on cut-and-sew tees. That's manufacturing, not a fault.

Cotton shrinks. Expect around 5% after the first wash. Wash cold and tumble dry low and you'll keep most of it — hot water and a hot dryer are what actually shrink a shirt.

2–7 business days to print and prepare your order before it ships. You will get a tracking email the moment it leaves the facility.

Where we ship

We ship within the United States. We are not set up for international orders at the moment — if you are outside the US and want something, email team@wearbrainwave.com and we will tell you honestly whether we can help yet.

Tracking

You get two emails: a confirmation when you order, and a tracking number when it ships. If the second one has not arrived within 10 business days of ordering, check your spam folder first, then email team@wearbrainwave.com with your order number.

Wrong address

Please check your shipping address carefully at checkout. Once an order enters production we cannot change the destination. If you spot a mistake straight after ordering, email team@wearbrainwave.com immediately — if we catch it before printing starts, we can fix it.

Lost or delayed

If your order has not arrived within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, email team@wearbrainwave.com with your order number. We will investigate and either replace it or refund you — see Returns and Refunds.

Damaged, defective, misprinted, wrong item, or never arrived — we replace it free or refund you in full within 30 days of delivery. You do not ship anything back; a photo is enough. Because each item is printed for one person, we cannot take back a size that does not fit — which is exactly why we publish real measurements above.

Every Wear BrainWave item is printed to order for one specific person. There is no stock room to send it back to, so our policy is built around getting the order right the first time rather than shuffling parcels back and forth.

What we replace or refund, no argument

Contact us within 30 days of delivery and we will send a free replacement or issue a full refund — your choice — if:

• The item arrived damaged or defective
• There is a print quality problem — cracking, misalignment, wrong colors, faded areas
• You received the wrong item, size or color
• Your order never arrived within 30 days of the estimated delivery date

You will not be asked to ship anything back. A photo is enough.

What we cannot take back

Because each item is made individually after you order, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for a size that does not fit, a color or design you changed your mind about, or buyer's remorse. Printing a shirt that then gets thrown away helps nobody.

So please use the size guide before you order — it has real flat measurements for every garment, tees S to 4XL, hoodies to 5XL and crewnecks to 4XL, and two ways to work out your size. If you are between two sizes or unsure, email team@wearbrainwave.com with your usual size in a brand you already own and we will tell you which of ours to pick. We would much rather spend two minutes on that than have you end up with a shirt you do not wear.

Cancelling an order

We can cancel and fully refund any order that has not yet entered production — usually a window of a few hours. Email us straight away with your order number and we will try to catch it.

How to make a claim

Email team@wearbrainwave.com with:

• Your order number
• A photo of the problem
• Whether you would prefer a replacement or a refund

We reply within one business day and resolve claims within 5 business days.

Refunds

Approved refunds go back to your original payment method. Your bank typically posts them within 5 to 10 business days. Original shipping charges are refunded when the fault was ours.
